Our violin teachers
Every Rising Stars teacher is a working musician, and every one of them teaches from the same shared approach.
We match you with the teacher who fits your schedule, age, and level. We have Spanish-speaking teachers too.
- Every teacher learns each student's name and goals, and uses that first name in every lesson.
- One new idea per lesson, practiced until it sticks, so progress builds week to week.
- Repetition and listening: a few focused minutes of practice a day, and singing along from the first lesson.
- The same method books across the school, so a student can move between teachers without starting over.
“Sean and his team have been teaching my daughter piano for 2 years and she loves it! We previously used another music school for 6 months and she had made essentially no progress. She started immediately improving once we moved her to Rising Stars.”William W.
What violin lessons cover
Violin takes patience and rewards it. Lessons happen in our larger rooms, where there is space to bow.
- Holding the violin and bow, posture, and a clear tone.
- Ear training and playing in tune.
- Reading music, scales, and pieces that grow with you.
- Students work from the Suzuki Violin School books.
For kids and adults
Kids can start violin young. Your teacher will help you find a violin in the right size, since kids play smaller instruments as they grow.
Adults start violin from scratch all the time. Lessons go at your pace, and every week you leave knowing exactly what to practice.
